Today’s prompt is also from the NaPoWriMo website, and is to write a triolet. Here’s one from the point of a view of a fairy tale figure who doesn’t get much page time as herself:

Grandmother

 When she arrived, I found myself reborn:

a fierce wee thing, and ready for the fight.

She’d treat my warnings, fears for her, with scorn;

when she arrived, I found myself reborn.

Each childhood scrape, I felt it like a thorn –

Oh Red, the world has teeth, and it can bite!

When she arrived, I found myself. Reborn.

A fierce wee thing, and ready for the fight.
