NaPoWriMo Day 13

The prompt today at the NaPoWriMo website was to write a short jokey poem in the style of those by Bill Knott.

The first joke that came into my head was the one about the red ship and the blue ship which collided, and I stole the punchline for a more highbrow version. I blame Pat Barker and Natalie Haynes novels for this, as I am definitely not a classicist!

Classic: Homer tells us many times: Odysseus voyaged over wine-dark seas. It should hardly have come as a surprise, therefore, when he was marooned.
